STAFF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUNDING REQUEST FORM

The UConn Hartford Director’s Office offers funding for professional development for staff. Two types of grants are available.

  1. Limited small grants (ranging from $50-$500). Examples include travel to and attendance at professional workshops and conferences.
  2. Limited large grants (up to $2500) to support the advancement of development that contributes to and advances UConn Hartford’s mission. Examples include antiracist and equity training, first-generation student advocacy training, Hartford community-focused workshops.

In the context of limited funding, proposals will be accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.

Proposals will be reviewed by the Director’s Office. All applicants should apply for funds through the UCPEA professional development program and, if reporting to Storrs, to their home departments before requesting funds from UConn Hartford sources. Efforts must be made to identify and utilize UConn and/or Hartford-based development resources. Team and interdepartmental proposals are welcome, including proposals with Hartford-based partners.
