Funding Sources: 

Work Study Student Employment (most common):

Work Study is available to students that have been awarded Work Study through their FAFSA
(Financial Aid) application.

Work Study is awarded to students for the entire academic year, and the total amount awarded is split between the Fall and Spring semesters. Work Study students can only work during the Fall and Spring semesters.

Work Study Employment Important Dates:

Key Deadlines:

  • Work-Study begins on August 28, 2026.
  • Students have until September 18, 2026 to secure employment.

Student Labor Student Employment (limited availability)

Student Labor Student Employment is available to students who have not been awarded Work
Study.

Student Labor students can work year-round, including Fall/Spring Semesters and
Winter/Summer Intersessions.

Student Employment Payroll Directions

Student Employment work hours must be entered into the UConn CORE-CT Payroll system.pdf.pdf , and paychecks are distributed on a bi-weekly Payroll Schedule.
